Become a Syntari Chair

Steward Leadership Continuity at Scale

Leadership continuity does not sustain itself.
It requires leaders who understand how judgment is formed, tested, and transferred under real consequence.

At Syntari, Chairs are not facilitators.
They are stewards of the Council system responsible for preserving the rigor, discretion, and standards that allow leadership readiness to compound rather than reset.

Becoming a Syntari Chair represents a transition from execution to institutional stewardship.
It is a role for leaders who recognize that their most enduring impact lies not only in what they built but in who they prepared to lead after them.

The Role of a Syntari Chair

Each Syntari Chair leads one or more peer advisory councils composed of senior leaders carrying comparable authority.

Your responsibility is to ensure that the Council functions as a Board of Strategic Readiness not a discussion forum, not a coaching circle, and not a networking environment.

As Chair, you are accountable for:

  • Preserving peer equivalence and discretion
  • Guiding disciplined, outcome-driven dialogue
  • Ensuring leadership judgment is sharpened before transition demands it

You are the guardian of the room.

Why Chair a Syntari Council

Steward a Lasting Legacy

You influence leaders before they assume enterprise-level authority when judgment can still be shaped without crisis.

Remain Intellectually Engaged

You operate within a global network of senior leaders across industries, staying close to how organizations are actually governed not how leadership is theorized.

The Hosting Model Advantage

By convening Councils inside member headquarters, you gain:

  • Direct exposure to diverse operating models
  • Insight into how enterprises structure governance, leadership, and execution
  • Ongoing expansion of your own strategic perspective

What Chairs Actually Do

Chair High-Trust Peer Councils

You lead a Council of 12–14 non-competing leaders through structured peer advisory processes where:

  • Real decisions are examined before real consequence
  • Complexity is addressed without performance or posturing
  • Collective intelligence accelerates leadership maturity

The work is confidential, consequential, and governed not conversational.

Maintain Strategic Rigor

You ensure Council dialogue remains:

  • Enterprise-level, not functional
  • Decision-oriented, not theoretical
  • Anchored in consequence, not opinion

Your role is to protect the altitude of the room.

Support Readiness Through Precision Intervention

Where appropriate, Chairs may engage in selective 1:1 executive coaching to reinforce judgment, regulation, and leadership effectiveness using evidence-based, brain-informed approaches.

Coaching is a tool.
The Council is the system.

Uphold the Leadership Continuum

Chairs serve as a critical stabilizing force across the Syntari ecosystem, reinforcing alignment between:

  • Boards of Peers (senior executives)
  • Boards of Preparation (advancing leaders)
  • Organizational sponsors accountable for succession and continuity

This ensures leadership readiness is built across layers not addressed in isolation.

Who This Role Is For

This role is designed for leaders who:

  • Have moved beyond the need for title or spotlight
  • Value stewardship over visibility
  • Believe leadership continuity is a system not a succession event

It is not suitable for:

  • Career facilitators without enterprise responsibility
  • Coaches without deep operating experience
  • Advisors seeking a platform rather than a duty

The Selection Process

Syntari Chairs are selected through a rigorous, multi-stage process assessing:

  • Enterprise credibility
  • Judgment under ambiguity
  • Capacity to hold authority without dominance

We look for leaders who combine sovereign presence, disciplined thinking, and deep respect for the peer advisory model.

The Syntari Standard for Chairs

We are highly selective.
The credibility of every Council rests on the credibility of its Chair.

1. Enterprise Leadership Experience

You bring:

  • 20+ years of C-suite and/or CHRO experience
  • Direct responsibility for enterprise leadership, succession, and talent decisions
  • First-hand exposure to scale, ambiguity, and consequence

You have operated at the level our members are preparing to enter.

2. Brain-Based Leadership Mastery

Syntari Chairs are grounded in the Neuroscience of Performance, drawing on methodologies from the NeuroLeadership Institute and evidence-based leadership research.

This enables:

  • Stronger decision-making under pressure
  • More reliable regulation and judgment in complexity
  • Measurable behavioral change not abstract insight

Chairs are trained, certified, or expected to reach mastery in these methodologies.

3. Professional Credentialing

All Chairs are ICF-certified (or on a defined credentialing path), ensuring:

  • Disciplined, ethical governance of peer dialogue
  • Psychological safety without loss of rigor
  • Structured processes that justify the time and trust invested

Credentialing is not symbolic, it is foundational to system integrity.
